As always, brilliant commentary - great points + eloquency I wish I could manage.
I get that people think there’s nothing wrong with emphasising the positive physical features of a character (or just making them up….). But the underlying attitude that I think often goes unnoticed is that characters are worth more somehow, that they’re more interesting/fun/worth it to RP as/whatever if they’re prettified. And that pisses me off. Correct me if I’m wrong about this, please, but I see some leve of similarity between this sort of thing and white-washing.
